Hello,
I have a quick question regarding hostnames and (I think) domain aliases.

Here is what I would like to achieve:

I have a installed mailcow on somehost.somedomain.com. I don’t have control on the DNS record for this host, I only have the A record and propped reverse IP lookup entry. I have a second domain mydomain.com where I can control A, CNAME, TXT, MX, NS, SRV records.

I would like to access mailcow vie (mail.)mydomain.com and use email addresses user@mydomain.com.

So, how to achive this?

I tried to set the A record of mydomain.com to my servers IP, the MX record to somehost.somedomain.com, the my hostname to somehost.somedomain.com and created a SOGO domain mydomain.com.

I don’t think this is correct. For example, the web mail interface can only be used from https://somehost.somedomain.com.

What’s the correct way to set this up?

See you

    Hi I’m mailcow noob, but I got:
    What you are configure under point 3)

    is “also” the web mail interface address. See your mailcow.conf

    nano /opt/mailcow-dockerized/mailcow.conf
    MAILCOW_HOSTNAME=somehost.somedomain.com

      Have something to say?

      Hi,
      thanks for your comment.

      I set MAILCOW_HOSTNAME to somehost.somedomain.com, but now I can’t reach the web interface from the URL https://mydomain.com.

      Any idea how to solve this?
