ThiSchwa I read a lot of posts and found out that mail_crypt can be disable by just setting mail_crypt_save_version=0. I’ve decrypt all emails and everthing seems to be ok! Trying to read my emails with ‘mutt’, I found out, that every new email is still encrypted! BTW: I’ve moved my mail-folder as decriped in https://mailcow.github.io/mailcow-dockerized-docs/u_e-dovecot-vmail-volume/ Is there everyone, who has an hint for me? Kind regard, Thilo
diekuh Every new mail is encrypted? Did you restart Dovecot? Can you show me what exactly you changed? Which file etc. 🙂
ThiSchwa Yes, every new mail is encrypted. And Dovecot was restarted. My only change is in data/conf/dovecot/dovecot.conf at the section plugin ‘Global Keys’: # mail_crypt_save_version = 2 mail_crypt_save_version = 0 I’ve found that hint at the following github issue: mailcow/mailcow-dockerized1876 Did I missed something?
sigdor edit this file “conf/dovecot/mail_plugins” remove both plugins “mail_crypt mail_crypt_acl” and restart dovecot. i can still read crypted files, but new files are not encrypted.
