Hello,
What XMPP clients are you using?
- I am looking for one for Linux and Android.
- Where both support multiple accounts and support the features of the recently introduced XMPP in Mailcow.
Thanks in advance.

Gajim on Desktop, Conversations on Android

I just tested gajim, seems not the best graphic interface but good features I will use them.
Conversations for android cost 2.50 Euro, right?
Does conversations for android syncs messages with gajim?
Thanks in advance.
omexlu All messages are on the xmpp server, so it does not matter what client you use - messages are available everywhere (similar to imap in the email world)
regarding the 2,50 - a couple of years ago it was in my opinion the best client all others where rubbish at that time- itโs worth the money.
Anyway feel free to try other clients, you can use as many as you like - it does not hurt - as you can use them at the same time - just enter your credentials and you have your message history on hand (in case the client supports it - conversations does it ^^)
Thanks for your answers I think gajim for Desktop and conversion or xabber for android
Messages from chats/groups are also stored global on the servers?
Thanks on advance.
Maybe you know where the admin area of xmpp is to find in mailcow to setup private channels and so on?
I donโt have updated right now but this week I will do
omexlu yes the chats are stored on the client but also on the server (actually it depends on the installed extensions on the server, but they seem to be installed here)
omexlu i just did my first testrun with the mailcow-ejabberd - so i donโt know yet where everything isโฆ
BTW: Regarding Conversations, it is also on F-Droid - so you can even get it for free.
The Mailcow UI is the admin interface, it allows to enable/disable xmpp for a domain / mailbox and to grant a user admin right. Everything else should be in the ejabberd config file or manageable via ad hoc commands via xmpp.
