Import mbox file to mailcow

Hey there,

I’m wondering what’s the best way to import a mbox file (from Google GMail) to one of my mailcow accounts? Because Gmail have a imap sync limit (1.5 GB per day), I’m not able to use the mail synchronisation feature.

Maybe this helps:
danburzo/gmail-mbox2maildir
With that you can directly import into maildir format what dovecot uses. Probably need to do a rescan in dovecot after copying over.

You can limit the sync feature of mailcow by lets say 15KByte/sec. and you won’t exceed the 1,5 GB per day.

Hi @jacksonstorm, sorry to revive this old topic but I am asking myself the same question.

I think I will use the imaptools from Rick Sanders andrewnimmo/rick-sanders-imap-tools but if you found an easier solution let me know 🙂
