Login Problem

Hello,

I installed Mailcow for testing, but the default credentials aren’t working. I connected to the database and added another admin account, but after restarting, I still get “incorrect password” errors. I also tried using the admin password reset script, but no success.

Could you please confirm the default login credentials and suggest how to fix this issue?

Another one who did not a search before posting… That was answered so many times already.

@DerLinkman Maybe it would be a good idea to add a link to the user login page which points to the admin login page… so many people didn’t read the release notes or the docs…

would be nice. I am also getting more and more requests for login, e.g. Domainadmin. Of course, they don’t notice the change unless I inform them about the change. There must be a better or more intuitive solution here.

I see the responsibility with the mailcow admin to read the change logs, and inform users of changes beforehand.
At least I do so (and did in this case) and had zero questions asked after upgrading.

You’re absolutely right, and that’s what I said, unless I tell them about it. However, a UI should already provide this or be so intuitive that you can forget to use “that” /domainadmin etc.. No more and no less, i.e. what Fraggle has already mentioned

the typical how was it 3 months ago, where did i have to go? “e-mail searching”
