Happy New Year everybody and happy holidays to all!
I am running the mailcow server for 2 years now and I have never missed an email that was needed until now with epic games and rockstar.
The prelude, I have a gaming VM at home that I had to reformat and reinstall everything, after the installation was done, I am trying to login back to my accounts at epic and rockstar but the emails never arrive, not in inbox nor in spam in any of the domains under my mail server.
I am trying to see from the UI why, because it has happened before with an email I didn’t care but I could see from rspamd the 2FA code and it didn’t bother me. Now I see that mails from those 2 companies get soft rejected and I can’t read their content to verify my accounts!
Also I am trying via the UI to navigate to the settings just to see if there is a blocklist or an allowlist so I can add them there as safe but the site hangs and I have to restart the vps!
It is updated to “2024-11b” and in general I run once a week the .update and it is full updated and cleaned up.
So I am not sure what causes the hang of the GUI nor how to allow those 2 senders.
Any help is much appreciated!
Kind regards,
George

Soft reject because of greylisting? The mails should arrive some minutes later

DocFraggle from Rockstar it never arrives, epic after several attempts it arrived later indeed but unfortunately the time has expired and it was no use to me

    You can whitelist these domains

System -> Configuration -> Global filter maps (check the box) -> Header-From: Whitelist

DocFraggle Thanks, I have added them and but this also doesn’t seem to deliver them into inbox or spam folder, I am curious though, how they get up into the spam folder and then soft reject?
I have never flagged those emails, they are not that many, and I have never added them to the spam/junk folders, just after using the 2FA code, delete them.

I set up my Epic 2FA with Google Authenticator, maybe use this as alternative

DocFraggle good morning and happy new year!
I do have that for my main account but my 2nd account I have it via email, right now I am completely locked out since when I receive the email from epic, the 2FA has expired already so I can’t change anything.
Also on the mail server I am hosting emails for other people too, I can’t go asking them to change 2FA in general just because the rspamd falsely flags legits emails as spam.
Also I had a chat with the other users if they flagged those emails as spam, note myself I have problem with epic, other users have problems with 2FA from other services, not necessary from epic or games in general but in any case I was able to help them by reading the 2FA code from the rspamd list, right now this list doesn’t show the code so my hands are tied!

          13 days later

I had this problem. The issue is caused by epic sending from different mail servers. The option is to temporary disable grey listing, set up an alternative 2fa method (TOTP) and then enable grey listing again. Best to leave it enabled if possible. Slows down delivery but still does stop some SPAM.
