Default new calendar events to private when adding through iphone

i have linked my calendar using the docs but i only just noticed that when i use the iphone calendar app to add events they are public and what i assume can’t be seen by anyone.

i have looked in sogo but can’t find anything to make it default to private.

esackbauer i have added that to my config but it still isn’t auto selecting private not even in the sogo ui

Did you restart your Sogo container?

AFAIK. if you add this to the data/conf/sogo/sogo.conf, you have to run
docker compose up -d to make it active. restart is not enough.
