Newsletter and Mailing List integration

Is there any plan to add some service to send newsletters and mailing lists?
listmonk seems promising: Go + VueJS and already available with Docker.

I love Mailcow and i use it in my business. I think that a newsletter and mailing list service would make it the definitive email solution.

I agree, mailinglists would be awesome!
There is another third party project, which integrated Mailman into Mailcow. It’s still a work in progress, but I guess it’s worth checking out.

I don’t think mailman might be useful to be integrated by default, as most users have no use for it while it increases the resource consumption, additional effort in regard to maintenance, and complexity.

If mailing list service is required, e.g. for business reason, I don’t think there’s anything preventing you to get it working with the default mailcow installation.

Ok. Then how do you know that a “mailing list service” is possible in mailcow?

Because a mailing list is based on sending and receiving emails, and mailcow can do both. So there’s nothing technically which prevents you from doing that.

“Technically” I understand but I struggle to see how I could set up an email list practically in mailcow or SOGo. That is why I asked for the page where this is documented. Maybe you can explain since it is not in the docs, thanks.

I don’t have experience with those mailing list applications. I’m sure the corresponding software, like mailman or so, will have exact documentation in how to set it up.

Ok, thanks. I though you know how it works since you wrote “… there’s anything preventing you to get it working with the default mailcow installation.” By “default” I presumed you mean there is no extra lib needed for to set up a mailing list in mailcow.

with you mailcow install on mailcow-install.de and a list email address, alias does NOT work, of list@mailcow-install.de and an list-admin address of email@mailcow-install.de. The filter can be added by EMail-Configuration-Filter-Add Prefilter - works for some time in my small groups, but is not very handy to maintain for bigger groups.
