depend failed to start: container mcdockerized-unbound-mailcow-1 is unhealthy

I’m trying install MailCow in a OCI Instance, but when I try to do the docker compose up, i get the description message “dependency failed to start: container mailcowdockerized-unbound-mailcow-1 is unhealthy”, in the mailcowdockerized-unbound-mailcow-1 log I’m getting the same message again and again:

“exec /docker-entrypoint.sh: exec format error”
I hope you can support me to solve this issue.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

I’ve configured everything as the prerequisite page says, but still not working.
I’ve been seeing something about the reverse DNS configuration, I’ve not configured yet, the error could be caused for that?
Do I need to configure de Reverse DNS to continue with the configuration of MailCow Server?

See, you didn’t configure everything as the prerequisites say, thats what i thought 😉
Because it says “System Type x86_64” that means Intel/AMD and not ARM.

Of course a reverse DNS is crucial. This is why in the page it says “Make sure that the PTR record of your IP address matches the FQDN of your mailcow host”.

It seems you are very new in operating mail servers. And also Docker. And also Linux.
What is your OCI host type? Your docker version and your docker compose version?

I’m new using the three.
I thought it was not necesary because when I was testing on Windows (with hMailServer) the RDNS was not a problem to configure it, in these case I thought I would similar and I would be able to install MailCow and then after that configure properly the RDNS,
My instance is an Ubuntu 20.04, supported by Ampere ( @DocFraggle Can you tell me what did you see about ARM instances? ), 4vCPU, 24GB RAM, 128GB SSD.

I’m not really familiar with Oracle’s OCI. By googling your error message most of the answers are that you are running a different architecture than expected… are you maybe using an ARM instance?

Well, it’s right there in your output 🙂 You’re running an arm64 instance, and Mailcow currently only supports ARM when you use the nightly branch:

It works I can see my mail server now.
I got another issues that I think woud be caused because the first bad instalatión I did, y will delate everything and try to do the instalation since the begining.
