Disable spam quarantine keep back

Hello.

My Mailcow sends me a notification if an email lands in spam and then I can choose if I wanna get it or if it should be deleted. Is there a way to just have it going into the junk folder without the notification?

You can configure the quarantine / spam notifications in the settings of an induvidual Mailbox.

If you only want to be notified about messages that were “rejected”, set “Quarantine notification category” to “Rejected”. If you don’t want to get notifications at all, set “Quarantine notifications” to “Never”

No, these are just notification settings, meaning you will or won’t get notified, when a message is going to Spam and / or gets rejected.

Not sure what you are trying to achieve. I assumed your original question was about how to turn off notifications for emails that are going to spam…?

When I receive a spam mail I get that notification which has a link where I can choose what to do with the email “send to mailbox” or “delete”. I don’t want that. The email should just go into junk without any off all that.
I hope you understand, my English isn’t the best.

Ah ok. You can adjust the spam filter in the UI of each induvidual account:

All emails that have a higher score than the right slider will be rejected, and all emails with a score that lies between the two sliders will go to the spam folder.

So you can just move the right slider further to the right, to move more mails directly to spam folder, or you can move it all the way to the right. Then every email that has a higher score than the left slider goes directly to the spam folder and no emails are going to be rejected.

You have to disable the quarantine. It’s not enabled by default, so you probably changed something. Without the quarantine it’ll just be send to the junk folder (or rejected if it has a very high spam score).

But then you wouldn’t know if there was a false positive that got silently rejected.

Fair point, but for that I use the following config I learned here some time ago https://community.mailcow.email/d/2025-never-reject-emails

That way I should never have rejections unless they’re is something super wrong 😃
