SOGo CalDAV / Calendar - Login 401

Hi,
I am trying to get my calendar synchronized via CalDAV but everytime I try to log in via the browser (BasicAuth) or over some other mail client it says:

401 Authorization Required

The login prompt is showing up but no login with any credentials I got works.

I would appreciate some help, Thanks!

The Logs say:

172.20.0.1 “GET /SOGo/dav/user@example.com/Calendar/personal/ HTTP/1.0” 401 0/0 0.002 - - 0 - 12

I tried four different accounts and always a 401.
A restart doesn’t help.

Or am I typing the wrong username? Maybe my password includes some characters that mess up the authentication?
They are all randomly generated.

I disabled 2FA for SOGo but that didn’t solve it.

If I use the CalDAV URL I meantioned above, what should my credentials be? Are they the same as for the webmail login?

It’s the same issue for CardDAV. I am running Mailcow behind the Nginx Reverse Proxy Manager, if that helps.

Yes, email and password.

Well, that’s exactly what I tried. There’s no way I typed the credentials wrong. I can log into the normal webmail but not into DAV.
Deleteing the sogo-web-vol-1 doesn’t fix the problem. Other users of my mailserver can’t login either.

it was the only post fitting my Problem, so i will share my solution here for others to find.
…had the same 401 error.
The solution was to go to App passwords and create an extra password for DAV there.
Afterwards it worked like a charm.

These are the log files, if that might help.
I also noticed that normally SOGo returns a HTTP 403 when the credentials are wrong, not a 401.

I know this is an old thread but I was facing the same issue and for me it turned out to be an SELinux issue. I submitted a PR to fix it here: mailcow/mailcow-dockerized5107

Hey, I modified my docker-compose.yml accordingly.
I changed the :Z to a :z on the correct SOGo volume.

After a docker compose down and docker compose up -d
I tried logging into my calendar and the issue still persists.

I am quite happy to say that your solution seems to fix it. I just decided to live with it because it was rather trivial. But It finally works!
