Possible display bug in mailcow interface

MAGIC yes I am on the latest update at least I was when I opened this thread. I tried a different browser and am hitting the same issue. Anyway, its not important to me I was simply curious what that section was all about :-)

I just noticed I seem to have a few more display bugs:

The backstory of this mailcow instance is that I made backups from an old instance, setup a brand new clean Ubuntu 20.4 , installed mailcow then transferred everything over and imported everything from the last backup.

All seems good and perfectly working after changing the DNS entries. Except this little display problem. I just wanted to make sure its no bigger issue I am not seeing hence posting here.

I manually checked and I have all those lang files. I then did a ./update.sh and updated to the current mailcow version and yet still the same problem persists :-(

Any more ideas?

Maybe you have that files, but it can be that they are not on the actual state.

Please make a comparison of the english file just to be sure that all is in there.

So we can exclude the problem with the lang files 🙂

There was indeed a difference, see the newly downloaded one with .1 at the end:

moved the .1 to lang.en.json, checked permissions have not been modified and everythings is back to working now :-)

I’m now just wondering, is there any way to trigger another “download” with git somehow just to make sure I don’t have any other “damaged” files? I guess the ./update.sh script only checks for files which have been updated in the repository since I downloaded them so files which don’t see many changes might take a while until I get the latest version of, right?

and I noticed the tabs (rate limit, Spam filter) at the top of the page are not working. their content seems to be simply displayed at the bottom of the page.

I think this was the case because you have done a migration and something went wrong there.

Just to be sure check the other lang files if they are up to date to.

I don’t know any way to check if all files are on the last state sorry.

Edit: I think really something went wrong on your installation when migration and other files might be also not up to date, that’s because some webscripts don’t work as expected but I Dont know how to check if all is up to date 😬

Maybe someone of the Devs have a solution to start again, maybe the best solution is to make a new installation and then use the restore to have a clean installation again.

I ran that command and there are indeed a couple of differences.

I then ran a ./update.sh and updated followed by a git diff master origin/master afterwards and it still shows differences. Should those not be “fixed” via the update command or is there another way?
