Send Mail from host system for monitoring

Hi and thank you for that amazing project 🙂
I successfully set up my mailcow for sending and receiving mails <3

I was wondering, if there is any possibility or howto on sending emails from the host system for monitoring reasons.
In fact, I would like to run e.g. Apticron to notify me on host system updates. But running postfix addidionally on the host gives me the error
fatal: bind 127.0.0.1 port 25: Address already in use
Well okay that sounds plausible, because mailcow is up and running 😃
Maybe this is not really mailcow-related but on the other hand there might be someone here to hint me in the right direction how to send emails directly from the host besides the mailcow installation. Maybe I can use the mailcow installation somehow?

Either you use a local MTA on your host, then check https://mailcow.github.io/mailcow-dockerized-docs/firststeps-local_mta/

I personally would just use the mailcow. Just auth to it like any other client and then you can send mails

Do you mean using mailcow as relay for sending mails?
