Yes, this is a problem. I’ve seen this in the two last minor May 2026 updates. I’m sure of the timing because it happens in a daily email that I receive and it didn’t start until recently.
It’s not specifically about links. Sogo (and sogo only) is not displaying certain text properly. I’ve just put together a demonstration case:
Demonstration
Send the following message from any client (it could be sogo, or thunderbird or K9, or something else). Send it as either html or plain text only:
Phone=99
Phone=99%
hone=99%
one=99%
ne=98%
e=97%
Other=96%
one=95%
In all the mail clients I’ve tried this is displayed faithfully except SOGO (latest Mailcow build), where it comes out as
Phon***="" />
Phon***="" />
hon***="" />
on***="" />
ne=98%
e=97%
Other=96%
on***="" />
If you look in sogo at the raw text, it is fine:
Subject: TEST
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
X-Last-TLS-Session-Version: TLSv1.3
Phone=99
Phone=99%
hone=99%
one=99%
ne=98%
e=97%
Other=96%
one=95%
Not sure whether this is for Sogo team, or specifically about the Mailcow build of Sogo. Clearly it is critical as it is impossible to know how much normal text might be mis-represented when displayed.
