Hi everyone, I need some help. I need to create a script so that when an email arrives in a specific inbox with a particular subject, a notification is sent to the Telegram bot.

For example: every time an email arrives in the monitor@cectec.com.br inbox with the subject “movement alert,” a notification should be sent to the Telegram bot.

Can anyone help?

And instead of using Telegram, Pushover notification which is built in into mailcow is not an option?

Otherwise I think you have to look into Zapier or IFTTT, forward mail to the automation, and automation will do the telegram notification.

Ask AI to do it for you. You can make some constraints like you want a systemd service using python script and IMAP IDLE to push to Telegram,… This task seem simple enough for AI to work it out.

Esackbauer, thank you for the suggestion, I will study the best way.

ETNyx, I tried through ChatGPT, but it didn’t work and ended up messing up other settings.

I also did a test outside of Mailcow, using Gmail to perform the test and using Google Script, but it was functional, because if I set the trigger every minute, Google blocks it. I performed the same implementation using Gmail and Python, and that worked better.

But I wanted to use Mailcow to do this.

I would not recommended to fiddle whit MC internals. What I was suggestion is making own program using IMAP connection to MC and out to Telegram. If you want I can make it for you 7€/m, suppose you are EU-base, do not want fiddle whit offshore tax nonsense from my government.
