JMAP Support in MailCow

Hi folks, I’ve recently noticed a good amount of progress for JMAP in the various Thunderbird projects, going so far that JMAP will be the first thing Thunderbird for iOS will suggest (not tested, using Apple Products does not really go along with FOSS…).

I could not find anything related to JMAP in https://docs.mailcow.email and a search in this forum does only return unrelated threads. Does anyone know if there’s a status or a plan regarding this?

AFAIK Dovecot itself isn’t currently going in that direction, so this would probably require either coding and maintaining an own Implantation or the integration of some other component like Apache James, Stalwart or so?

As the way mailcow is built, and its reliance and integration on dovecot, it will only happen if JMAP will be part of dovecot.

Thanks, not what I hoped for but of course understandable.

But then there’s a good chance that dovecot will integrate it if it ever sees some considerable adoption.
