Problems to receive mails from a specific account

Hello,
i have setup MailCow on Hetzner. I have one cloud server for MailCow and a second one with CloudPanel for websites.

MailCow is running, i have setup REVERSE DNS for the mailserver.

My problem is, if i send a mail from my current “Plesk mail hosted account” to the mail address example@maker-tutorials.com the mail will not shipped. Also no log entries in Postfix. maker-tutorials.com is hosted on the server with CloudPanel (DNS below).

But if i send a mail from the same “Plesk mail hosted account” to the mail example@<domain>.de it works.
Note <domain>.de is the domain from the mail server.
If i send a mail from a gmail account to both (example@maker-tutorials.com & example@<domain>.de) i receive mails on both addresses (not only on example@<domain>.de).

“Plesk mail hosted account” -> example@maker-tutorials.com = x
Gmail -> example@maker-tutorials.com = √

“Plesk mail hosted account” -> example@<domain>.de = √
Gmail -> example@<domain>.de = √

I am not sure if this is problem of the “Plesk mail account”, or my MailCow setup.
Are My DNS correct? I don’t need the A and AAAA on maker-tutorials.com for mail.maker-tutorials.com?
I also disable the Hetzner Firewall for testing.

can someone please check the DNS entries? Are these correct?

They seem correct. However you should whitelist your plesk IP address in Admin GUI under “Forwarding hosts”.
Check your postfix logs!!

esackbauer thank you for the hint. Added the IPV4 and IPV6 to Settings->Forwarding Hosts (Spam Inactiv).

Is it in terms of security reasons fine, that i posted all the data? I mean with a DNS lookup, it’s easy to get these.

Send a mail from a mail account on plesk (does not use mailcow) to the mailcow example @ maker-tutorials.com.
Did not received the mail. Nothing in Postfix logs.

If there is nothing in postfix logs, then you have a network problem. Check your Cloudpanel logs.
Dont worry on security, its fine as you used screenshots, not text.

esackbauer but CloudPanel should not be involved.
I send a mail from my plesk hosted mail account (not mailcow) to a mail address which is related to mailcow.
The mailcow server is separate from the cloudpanel server (different ip’s).
In the DNS of the maker-tutorials.com the MX points to the mailcow server.
Or am I mistaken in my reasoning?

Then you need to check the plesk logs. It must be somewhere there where it tells you why it could not send.

I finally found the problem.
The maker-tutorials account was only set to suspended. It means web account is deactivated, but mail is active.
So pleak was sending the mail internally to the plesk account and ignored the DNS MX entries.

Is there a way to edit my first post and remove the dns images an change the emails? 🥺

As I said, its not much of a concern. DNS is no secret database, and the port scanners from internet got all your details already 😉
