Does the update-script checks before the the update if the installed docker-compose is supported?

Same with the docker version?

@diekuh maybe this is a good feature to implement in update.sh to prevent conflicts?

What sort of conflicts would you like to prevent with such checks? Docker and Docker-Compose is usually backwards-compatible and container images should continue working fine - the only “conflicts” are usually bugs which need to be addressed anyway.

Also docker versions are rolled out automatically via their repo and user update them regularly, this would let mailcow to stop updating then.

Yes that true, docker are updated via repo, but docker-compose not if installed manually as documented in the docs.

That why I ask because I don’t update compose regularly 🙈

To prevent conflicts the update.sh needs to be updated regularly and a min. Version needs to be defined.

I never had issues until now but always troubles can be coming 😉

Actually if you installed docker-compose the same way like in the docs it will be updated if @diekuh updates the version on his server

Docker is updated via repo.
docker-compose via the update script (because installed it like descripted in the docs)
