Hi, seems like your provider blocks outbound connections on port 25.

Have something to say?

is there a way i can change the port 25 for an other port like 587 or 465?
dont know how i can acheive that on mailcow

You could change the port with some natting but then nobody can reach you.
Which provider do you use, maybe you can create a ticket and ask for unblock (likeDigitalocean does it afaik)

im just using a vm on my computer rn…

Well you shouldnt host a mailserver at home when you:
1.) dont have a static IP
2.) cant set a RDNS @ your ISP
3.) have closed ports

well if i just set my server on a DMZ and and reverse the dns on the ip of my server it might work?

I speak about the RDNS of your external IP

25 days later

I use a mail forwarder to overcome the port 25 block. Before I try to install mailcow I need to know if I can set the outbound to use a relay and change the inbound port, and how to do that. I know how to change it without using a docker image, but fairly new to using Docker, so if it seems like a dumb question, I apologize in advance.
