omexlu Hello, Is IPv6 supported by default by mailcow? If I do a check on the following site for the panel it does show that I don’t have enabled ipv6: https://ipv6-test.com/validate.php When yes, what I do need to activate ipv6 on the whole mailcow installation? Just need to add a AAAA-Record for the panel or is more needed? Thanks in advance.
pkernstock Yes, it is. Make sure that your IPv6 connectivity on your server works and configure the according AAAA-records in your DNS zone.
omexlu Thanks for the quick reply. Only need to set a AAAA-Record for the PANEL-URL, or for all A-Record also a AAAA-Record? No other modifications needed on the mailcow installation? Need to rerun the acme afterwards? Thanks.
omexlu I have just checked and ipv6 is enabled on the server. Now I just need to know: just AAAA-Record for the panel must be added? just PTR for AAAA-Record must be added? a AAAA-Record for every domain managed by mailcow must be added? No other changes on the mailcow-installation is needed? ACEME need to be rerun? Thanks for any suggestions and Tipps about this 🙂
omexlu Just one last question, is it normal that all services use ipv4 like postfix? I see the ipv4 in header not the ipv6 ? Thanks.
