Copy passwords from Zimbra to mailcow?

I’m looking into migrating from Zimbra to mailcow. I understand using sync jobs to copy account contents over, but is there any way to copy over user passwords? I’d like to avoid having to contact each user and go through a password reset procedure.

Thats one benefit of having a SSO solution which you do not have?
Maybe a reason to install such a thing now. Like keycloak or Authentik.
Otherwise you either send the user the generated first password, or you have them click on “forgot password”.
Its a one time thing of 3 minutes, so users should not complain.

esackbauer No SSO. Email/calendar is the only thing the users sign into. Maybe I can set up LDAP and copy the password hashes from Zimbra?
Many of the users don’t have a backup email configured, so it would be a phone call from me to get them access again. I’m trying to save myself from having to call a bunch of people.

Its not only the access for the users. In order to use imapsync to migrate the mailboxes you either need the zimbra user password, or reset it to a temporary one.
Or have the user configure the imapsync himself, but that is not for everyone 😉
