Server speed issues after installing dockerized mailcow

my server considerabley slowed down aftr successfully installing and running the mailcow server. I couldnt even run the timezone command. All i get is a timeout error.

my server is a VPS 4vCores and 6GB RAM and 100GB SSD NvMe

please help

you know the top command? it shows you which process consumes everything.

If that is the top output while being slow, you should open a ticket with your hoster. From within the VPS it looks good.

esackbauer Please explain what you mean by talking to my VPS hoster because I just reached out to them and they confirmed my VPS is 4Cores, 6GB RAM and 30GB SSD. What do you think I can do about this slow issue because even to ssh into the server is frustratingly slow

THen maybe a problem with your network connectivity. Contact your ISP and also your VPS hoster.
What the hoster basically said is the sales brochure, not anything about performance counters or problems.
Are you sure you opened a service ticket/case with them? What is that for a hoster?
Which operating system? Is SELinux enabled (hopefully not), is firewalld or ufw enabled (hopefully not).

I’m just trying to change the timezone of the mailserver so that mails can show the correct time. I dont know why it’s so slow now

esackbauer Do you recommend I disable ClamAV and Flatcurve (FTS Engine) maybe the server could be more responsive if I do that? Please help

Why do you think that? The top screen shows clearly that neither CPU nor RAM are a problem.

you should really start looking into the log files, and/or get help from someone with actual Linux knowledge.
This seems not to be a mailcow problem.
