Release 2025-03a: authentication

Hello Mailcow,
I did read the release notes of 2025-03a and I have a question about the new authentication process.
My mailbox owners historically authenticate on /Sogo to access the webmail.

With this new release 2025-03a, they will now authenticate on /.

Where will they land after upgrading to 2025-03a ? On Sogo ? Or in Mailcow UI ? I read about a new option to control that behaviour. But what is its default value ?

I give them the /Sogo link for the webmail. Should I continue or move them to / ?

Well, yes, i did read it too, but as far I understand, it’s not written there, neither in docs,… check edit of mailbox (as admin), there is new checkbox “Direct forwarding to SOGo After logging in, the user is automatically redirected to SOGo.” just before submit button.

If checked than login is into sogo, if not logins lands into mailcow UI both sogo and UI have buttons to go to second choise

And about /SOGo/ it should not matter unauthenticated access force redirect to /

Hello,
after updating, I can confirm that the “redirect to SOGo” option is activated by default. It means that existing users and newly created ones will be redirected to SOGo after login.
