Use external Database for mailcow

Hello i’d like to use a db that is on another server than mailcow stack

the only thing i need to know is where i can change the db host value

Thats actually a bad idea, you can search the forum for admins who did this and had some bad experiences due to dependencies on database versions.
I think they even lost the whole database.
The whole idea behind a docker compose stack is that you are not depending on other servers versions.

okay its a bad idea but just for testing do you have an option to change the db host ?

You would need to find out yourself I guess, pls check the github source of mailcow.
