Hi MCC,
My self-hosted Nextcloud server cannot connect to MC via SMTP. Both SSL (465) and STARTTLS (587) are failing with: “A problem occurred while sending the email. Please revise your settings. (Error: Email could not be sent. Check your mail server log)”. MC Postfix logs show a connection attempt but is being dropped with: “warning: TLS library problem: error:0A000418:SSL routines::tlsv1 alert unknown ca:../ssl/record/rec_layer_s3.c:1605:SSL alert number 48:”. and Info: "lost connection after CONNECT from dynamic-095-*.pool*.
Seems the complaint may have to do with the NC server running on a dynamic IP. I am using a DDNS service. The other possibility could be TLS version conflicts, but have no clue as to how to resolve.
I have looked at: https://docs.mailcow.email/post_installation/reverse-proxy/r_p-nginx/. Alas, I am clueless my NPM is a docker container but there’s also the mailcowdockerized-nginx-mailcow-1 container. So which container to work with and what exactly to do is not clear from the link.
Is there anyone else having this challenge but most critically how it is resolved?
Keep Rising!!
