Need help with setup Mailcow on Netbird and Nginx Proxy Manager

Good evening,

My setup consists of a Netbird tunnel between my VM and another cloud server with Nginx Proxy Manager on it. Previously, I could easily portforward all applications by using the stream option in Nginx. But this doesn’t work for Mailbow. That is why I was wondering if anyone in this forum would have a solution to this. It’s just that I can receive my emails via the existing setup. I’d love to hear from you 🙂!

Afaik you can’t proxy SMTP, IMAP and Pop with nginx. You have to use haproxy or something similar

This article will explain how to configure F5 NGINX Plus or **NGINX Open Source** few year ago I did use it, not sure of current status.

Anyway to original question, if problem is using Mailbow services, I would suggest to ask there, if they are using common IMAP/POP/SMTP it should work, so most likely they have something extra?
