Hi community,
we use a mailcow instance as relay host between our (learning management/ LMS) servers and the customers mail servers. This allows the LMS application so send mails with the customers domain.
Normally this is achieved as sender dependent transport map to port 25 of the customers mail server.
But now we are asked, if we can connect to “Exchange online” by “app registration”.
I found a way that works with Exchange connectors… but this is not what the customer asks for.
There seems to be ways to register a system as an Azure app and using OAuth to send mails (e.g. https://www.reftab.com/blog/faq/how-to-setup-email-smtp-settings-with-office365-oauth2-authentication-with-reftab/).
Searching for “Azure” and “Oauth” in the docs (and the internet) does not give helpful hints.
Has anyone a hint for me, how to make it work sending mails from the mailcow via Exchange using the “app registration”?
Thank you in advance for your comments!
Jens
