maybl8 Do you know if this beneficial to use to manage the mailcow server?
I mean, ultimately it’s up to you to decide if it’s useful to you. Personally, I don’t see much benefit in installing a fancy UI for system management on an appliance-type server like Mailcow, where there’s really is not much to manage at a system level on a day-to-day basis other than system updates and Mailcow updates.
Also, as far as I know Cockpit can’t manage Docker (only Podman), and for all the mail server stuff you have to use the Mailcow UI anyway.
maybl8 Does it cause any issues with the server?
It shouldn’t cause any problems on its own, but it’s a system management tool, so at the end of the day it depends on what the user does with it, but obviously the same is true for the CLI as well 😉
maybl8 Is anybody here using it?
I’ve looked at it a few times, but I don’t use it productively anywhere. But why not check it out for yourself, perhaps on a test system ….
