Add SRS support

Because some email has to be redirected, SRS should be added.

Is this guide from 2020 still recent/working with Mailcow?

There has been some discussion about adding SRS to mailcow, but this is not directly supported yet?

No, its not supported. Your article references the enhancement issue on Github which is still open.

To be clear, SRS can be used for reducing spam reporting for a redirecting mail server?
So when a mail server redirects mail to another email address (not the best practice, I know, but still used/needed these days), the receiving mail server may perceive the redirecting email server as being a spammer, as when the redirected email content is detected as spam.
SRS would shift the blame to the actual sender that sent the email to the redirecting mail server, correct?

I’d like to add my support for official SRS support in Mailcow.

I completely understand that mail forwarding is not always the recommended approach, but in real-world environments many users still rely on it and expect it to work.

With stricter SPF and DMARC enforcement from providers like Gmail and Microsoft 365, SRS is becoming more and more important for reliable forwarding. It also helps make it clear that the forwarding server is only passing along a message and is not the original sender.

I really appreciate the work that goes into Mailcow and understand that not every feature can be prioritized. However, an optional, officially supported SRS implementation would be a great addition and would make life easier for many administrators.
