Limit for sending and receiving

Hello, could you please tell me how to increase the limit for sending and receiving? Let me explain the situation: I set a limit of 50 megabytes for files, but I’m trying to send an archive that is 28 megabytes and I get a message saying the file is too large to send. Also, when I send a report from a service, I don’t receive the email, and I understand that it is likely due to the limit being set too low as well. There’s nothing in the logs about this issue. Strange, you should see error in logs,… are you sure those messages was not processed by another server using different limits? Anyway post here what exactly you change.

In data/conf/postfix/extra.cf - message_size_limit = 52428800
in data/conf/rspamd/local.d/options.inc - max_message = 52428800;
in data/conf/rspamd/local.d/external_services.conf parameter for oletools - max_size = 52428800;
in data/conf/rspamd/local.d/antivirus.conf - parameter for clamav - max_size = 52428800;
and in data/conf/clamav/clamd.conf - MaxScanSize 150M and MaxFileSize 50M

and restart Postfix, Rspamd and Clamav

Well I would suggest to you to revert those settings to default, if you need to reduce allowed message size to 50M (half of 100M default) update only data/conf/postfix/extra.cf, it should by enough, because you are lowering the input limit.

Why just this? (Just a guess) For example oletools mailcow default is 3145728 your 52428800 is 16x more, you may stretch this too much.

Also best bet is docker down + docker up even if docs suggest restart

Also it is important to understand that attachments get uuencoded into “human readable characters” because SMTP does not support binary attachments itself.
That means that a 30 MB attachment, “inflated” through that encoding will be almost 50MB, then add the mail headers and any inline images of e.g. footers and you are above the 50 MB.
