IMAP mailbox cannot be filtered using Sieve rules

Hello everyone,
am I right assuming that Sieve filtering configured using SoGo webmail UI applies only to primary mail inbox?
I have added my another gmail account using IMAP - everything works well except filtering.
But that actually does make a bit sense, since Sieve is server-side filtering, thus applies only to main inbox and not to mailboxes downloaded using IMAP.

Just wanted to confirm that with others.

Yes, if you want to filter Gmail you can set-up it on Gmail similar to sieve filter here
