I have the newest Version of OL installed. My Mailcow Account is Connected in OL with Exchange Active Sync. Mail is working fine. When i create a Calendar Entry in SoGo or on IOS the event shows up in the OL Calendar. When i create an event in OL Calendar it is not synched to Sogo or to IOS.

Some mothns ago there was a bug with exchagne active synch where no synching at all worked. Is this a new bug in OL?

I’m still running 2408 Build 16.0.17928.20114 (32 Bit), no problems here.

You can try to downgrade your Office version with this command (run a cmd as Administrator):

“C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe” /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17928.20114

and check if it’s working again.

Btw, you can delay the updates by setting a registry key, see:

https://admx.help/?Category=Office2016&Policy=office16.Office.Microsoft.Policies.Windows::L_UpdateBranch&Language=en-us

I set it to “Deferred” to stick to the “Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel”

Hey,

thanks for the reply. I was able to downgrade to 2407 on my desktop pc. But the error was still there. I was not able to downgrade to any other version. I got errors when trying. I also tested on my laptop at home on 2408. Also my Laptop had the same error. Calendar entries cerated on the laptop didnt synch with webmail. Contacts and Mail syncs fine!

Today i tested at work. Also OL 2408 is installed there - and everything works fine from work!

So can this be some network issue? I have a firewall and adguard (DNS blocking) running. But the firewall shouldnt block outgoing things.

It depends on the build version. Afaik there were some buggy builds with 2407 as well. Did you try to install the exact version I posted above?

16.0.17928.20114

Cant tell anymore. Damn i should have made a screenshot. I tried many since i got a lot of errors.

But my build version from work is exactly the same as at home! So i think the error must be somewhere else. i will try to connect my laptop via mobile this evening. If it works then i can tell for sure that it is something with my network at home.

Work:

Hello together

I have the same effect with the Outlook Sync of the calendar.

The downgrade to version 16.0.17928.20114 has not brought any improvement.

I currently have two different clients in the same network with version 16.0.17928.20156. The synchronisation of new entries to Mailcow works with one client, but not with the other.

Any ideas?

I tested now a lot of stuff with no luck:

  • tried different network without restrictions
  • Uninstalled O365
  • Removed OST File

All without any luck. It just doesnt work. I am now on 2409 Version. I have no clue what i should try next.

Did you ever try to reset the ActiveSync device cache? Login to your mailcow UI with your affected mailbox account, you can find it in the Settings tab

I reseted the cache and tested it on Laptop and Desktop. Didnt work.

Then I’m out of ideas… the last thing you can try is enable debug logging in Sogo for ActiveSync and check if there is an error message regarding a calendar object which breaks the sync…

Is this a error?

The issue is due to an arithmetic overfow within outlook while sending the “new” event as mentioned in this comment of this bug ticket bugs.sogo.nu Icon 0005921: Oulook 2021 (365) stoped syncing via EAS with latest SoGo - SOGo | BTS

It is very annoying for us as well. Please vote for the issue to raise awareness on Microsoft side on the following two sites:

I think you are right! I upvoted it.

Wohooo! It seems to be solved with the 2410 Update!

Hey @sut,
what Office Version exactly do you have? I just updated to the latest release

after your post but with my Office Professional Plus 2019 Version 2410 (Build 18129.20116) it ist stilll not working. Also still not working for a friend of mine with Office 365 and the same build.

Edit: Also what version of mailcow are you running? I’ve got version 2024-08a

Sorry - i am dumb…
I tested with the wrong account. I have one account with Caldav Synchronizer and one with eas. Eas still doesnt work.

Sorry for giving false hope.

Microsoft® Outlook® für Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2410 Build 16.0.18129.20100) 64 Bit

Did you ever try the 32 Bit version? Works flawlessly for me

FYI, I just upgraded to

Microsoft® Outlook® für Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2410 Build 16.0.18129.20100) 32 Bit

and tested the calendar sync both ways, works like a charm for me. But as I said, it’s the 32Bit version, I think we had this problem once in another thread which also used the 64Bit version
