Mobile device and empty mailbox

Hi All,

I have a problem with my email account. When i have lots of emails in my trash and want to empty the trash it does not delete all emails @ once.

I have to empty my trash multiple times on my mobile to empty the trash. Any idea what this issue could be or how it could be resolved.

And shall we guess which mobile client you are using, or why you did not tell us? And did you try it with SOGo?

Im sorry,

Im using android 12. And the email client is nine email.

When i empty the trash in sogo it works as expected.

I’m using nine as well and just deleted ~ 500 emails at once by emptying the trash via the “Empty Trash” button, no problems here

Yes it is strange. Sometimes it emptys fine. And sometimes i need to empty the trash 3 times before all mails are gone.

My machine resources are more then enough. Where do i need to search?

Again sogo webmail works fine and does not have this problem so i think it has to do something with activesync?

If you configured Nine via ActiveSync (which I guess is the case), you also need to have enough SOGo workers, especially if there are other users on your mailcow also using ActiveSync.

You could also have a look at the SOGo and dovecot logs what is happening while you empty the trash.

BTW: I moved away from Nine recently, because the app is no longer updated.
I am using FairEmail and DAVx5, so I am using truly open source products now 😉

Ok, that’s new to me… I just had a look at their website but didn’t find anything, where did you read about that?

Say i want to do this config:

Example 2 - 1000 users, 100 EAS devices:

WOWorkersCount = 120;
SOGoMaximumPingInterval = 3540;
SOGoMaximumSyncInterval = 3540;
SOGoInternalSyncInterval = 60

Where can i enter these overrides?

The last update is from January, and before that they updated nothing for a whole year. Seems they want to push users to their subscription based product. Just read the recensions.

in the data/conf/sogo/sogo.conf
Just remember to do docker compose up -d afterwards to make changes active. Maybe restart Sogo container as well

Also be aware that if you have a firewall in front of mailcow, you might need to change the session interval there as well, if its not sufficient.

The strangest things happen. i think my account is broken. now when i retrieve my mail with imap not all folders are retrieved in thunderbird.

Is there an easy way to recreate my account whithout all sogo settings and copy all mail and contacts to the new account?
