What items from rspamd are supposed to appear in my user quarantine?

For instance, I have an email from August 17 that shows up in rspamd as action “reject,” but does not show up in my user quarantine in the mailcow user interface.

Can someone explain how it’s supposed to work? Thanks!

Login as admin, go to System > Configuration -> Options -> Quarantine, there are some settings that can prevent saving message to Quarantine.

Have something to say?

Yes, I looked there, but none of those settings apply in this case. Is it your understanding that anything rspamd marks as “reject” that isn’t affected by those settings should to into my quarantine?

Hello @wryfi Emails that Rspamd flags as reject are normally dropped entirely; rather than being delivered to your inbox . Generally, emails that Rspamd flags as spam are kept in quarantine; emails that are flatly refused are not. If an email is not shown , it was probably rejected & not saved.

jarethdf For me if Rspamd mark message as rejected and it is in those limit told before, it seems to go to quarantine no matter of score. This is highest score in my quarantine . What exactly you mean by “emails that are flatly refused”?

@wryfi Are you missing only one message? If so, using Occam’s razor, your user deleted it from quarantine by self, yes users will be swearing that they did not, my users do it every time, often they crying to me, they are losing messages out of blue, after I modified dovecot log I can see when they are deleting it, usually from phones likely not knowing it, but they do,..
