Mailcow & reverse proxy via cloudpanel

hi all,.

So i have a home set up, I have proxmox running and several virtual machines, the main 2 we need to know about is

A) Cloudpanel virtual machine- this is my WHM (which also use NGINX reverse proxy)
B) Mailcow virtual machine - obviously running the email server

I can successfully send mail from the server,. however when i respond to the email i get a bounce back “550 Administrative prohibition”, i have confirm this to be issues with the middle man (reverse proxy)

i just need confirmation that

A) i have the right ports - I have attached the vhost (ngnix file)
B) i have read about the SSL file,. do i need to replace the file from either cloudpanel to mailbox,. or is it the mailcow cert to my cloud panel ?

Hello, how can you resolved this problem?
i have exactly same issue.

i have vm with cloudpanel with all port forwarding from router.
have second vm with mailcow mailserver.

i cant send emails, but not getting.

how to resolve this problem ? thanx

Guys, a nginx reverse proxy is a HTTP only server, and that can only do http and https traffic…
For all other ports you have to use NAT to your mailcow VM.

ad B) that is dependent where the ACME client is supposed to run. It can be done either way. and of couse you need to copy the certs to the respective other system.
