Greetings, Hosting my own email sever at home, I have configured everything client side, I have tested my ports on the firewall, and everything needed to be open confirms as open. My firewall on my linux server is configured properly as well, I know port 25 is probably being blocked from my ISP, so, how do I change this? Or how do I find where the issues lies? Seems as your MX record is wrong, it has to be on top level (@), not ‘mail’

Check your DNS setup with

Yes, if you only have a single MX you can set any priority. That’s only relevant if you use more than one MX

Ah, you’re running your server at home, so it won’t be possible for you to set the reverse DNS at all… additionally your outgoing mails will mostly be blocked as SPAM because most mail servers check if the mail’s origin is a dynamic IP address of some ISP. You will have to use a relay service…

If you’re behind a residential IP that’s definitely the best choice.
It won’t take more than 30m to set that up and will avoid you headaches down the line 😉
