I’ve got the quarantine emails configured to be sent hourly but, while having emails waiting in quarantine, I receive no email about that. (Mails have been in the quarantine since this morning)

Also checked in the logs and doesn’t look there was any attept made to send over the last 2 or 3 days.
Am I missing anything here? Anything specific I should check?

Is there a way to force the quarantine email to be re-sent?

I’m on Version 2024-02.
Thanks!

  • Nothing… mistery continues… account is definitely configured to receive the emails

and there’s definitely email received in the last hour

and still the quarantine notification not being sent, with the user being ignored(?)

Is that just me being dumb and not seeing something obvious?

    Turns out that’s the latter.

From a mail configuration perspective can’t see any reason why the email wouldn’t be delivered, nor In found anything being rejected in the logs.
🤷‍♀️

Partially answering my question, followed this docs.mailcow.email Icon Resend Quarantine Notifications - mailcow: dockerized documentation

(more and more amazed by the docs!).
Looking at the output looks like the notification should’ve been sent:

Notifying news@maddler.net: Considering 1 new items in quarantine (policy: hourly)
news@maddler.net: 0 of 1 messages qualify for notification

but nothing in the mailbox, nor in the logs.
I’m a bit lost at this point.

I would assume the ‘notified’ field should get updated to 1 after the notification being sent?

maddler 0 of 1 messages qualify for notification

I guess that’s the question here, why isn’t your message qualified for notification?

Ah, you just made me spot something, actually:
In the quarantine I’ve got a few messages for another account, which would show in the DB but doesn’t show in the quarantine_notify.py output.

(the news@maddler.net is actually not configured to get the quarantine emails, but maddler@maddler.net is)

I only left the messages for maddler@maddler.net in the quarantine

So, quarantine emails are definitely not being triggered.
It works fine if I trigger the script from the command line.
Beside maddler@maddler.net not being taken into consideration.
    Weird…

I’ve got a suspect the ofelia container didn’t get built correctly when I updated, I also had issues with the scheduled sync jobs. I rebuilt it and schedule jobs seem to working OK now.
Will see what happens with the quarantine.
