I guess no, would need a heavy rewrite of the CSS of SOGo. Try to ask this questions in their forums.
However you could use the “full screen”/maximise icon in the top left of the reading pane. Clicking on a mail will then open it always in this way. You can move between the mails with up/down keys.
To show the list of mails click on a different folder in the left pane or press F5.
