Mail server keeps going to "mydomain.xyz/debug".

Hi,

I recently setup MailCow. I had to wipe my entire server, so i did. It was working before that. When i reinstalled it, the exact way i did it before i am having issues. Any idea on what causes this?

Hi, sorry about that.

I had to wipe my entire server, so i could encrypt the drive. I reinstalled the OS, and reinstalled Mailcow. When i tried to run it, it gets to the page where you login, however when i login it goes to my domain and says “mydomain.xyz/debug”, obvs the “mydomain” is replaced with my actual domain. The page is completely blank.

I checked the logs, and it seems to be a issue with connecting the the database. I have no idea why.

(Also, to add i can only see the Mailcow login screen once, and that’s after a reboot of the server.)

OK, did you restore a backup after installing mailcow? Or did you maybe use your old mailcow.conf file for the new installation without restoring? The database password is stored in your mailcow.conf file, so if you use your old config file with the new database, it’s now the wrong password

I did not backup anything, due to it being installed on the day of the OS reinstall. I reinstalled a fresh, Mailcow reinstall. No backups.

Is there a way, to check the database password? To make sure they both match?

Btw, the redirect to /debug is normal after logging in with the admin user

Oh. When i did it before, it just logged me into the panel. I am still trying to debug the sql server softwere.

Yes, the admin panel runs at /debug

Ah. Its still showing the same error. I am unable to figure out the issue. Everything seems to be working just fine, just i can’t get to any admin page. All i get is “mydomain.xyz/debug”

Have you tried with a different browser or disabled any plugins in your browser?
