It has been since i wanted to self host my mail, i tried but for now it is not working. The mailcow setup is ok (easy with this crazy packaging ! ) but i am not able to send mail, obviously i am doing something wrong :
I have my domain (OVH) that is working (websites are ok).
For the mail i created ;
IN NS dns17.ovh.net.
IN NS ns17.ovh.net.
IN MX 5 mail.domain.top.
autoconfig IN CNAME mail.domain.top.
autodiscover IN CNAME mail.domain.top.
mail IN MX 10 mail.domain.top.
mail IN A x.x.x.x
mx 600 IN TXT "v=spf1 a mx ~all"
Result of MXtoolbox ;
Status Problem DMARC Record Published No DMARC Record found
Status Warning DMARC Policy Not Enabled DMARC Quarantine/Reject policy not enabled
Status Ok DNS Record Published DNS Record found
It should be ok right ?
My setup of mailcow is very basic for now, initially i had a network reachability issue because it was using IPv6 and this is not yet configured, so i deactivate it to fix this (at least for now hope to put ipv6 then) beside that i didn’t change/configure anything.
My provider is french SP named RED/SFR ; everytime i am trying to send a mail i have a connection refused ;
connect to alt3.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[184.108.40.206]:25: Connection refused
connect to smtpz4.laposte.net[220.127.116.11]:25: Connection refused
I don’t know why it is always refused and if i can something specific to avoid this ? (should i try to configure another port, etc.)
