I hope you’re all doing well. I’ve been using Mailcow for quite some time, and it has proven to be a very reliable and efficient open-source mail server suite. However, I’ve recently run into a problem that I hope someone can assist me with.
For reasons pertaining to my business’s security, I’d like to restrict specific users from using mail only when they are connected to our office network. This means that these users should not be able to access their email accounts outside our office network. It’s a peculiar requirement, but essential for our current business setup.
I’m assuming that this can be done by configuring the firewall or the mail server settings, but I’m not exactly sure how to implement this. Does anyone have experience with this sort of configuration? If yes, could you guide me on how to accomplish this?
What would be the appropriate steps to restrict access to certain users based on their IP address?
Additionally, if any plugins or third-party solutions are recommended, kindly suggest those as well. However, I would prefer a solution that involves adjusting the Mailcow settings natively.
I appreciate any guidance on this topic. Looking forward to your responses.
