Hi all,

I have a issue with emails arriving to my mailbox. They are all marked as read after a couple of minutes.

What could be the problem of this?

If i disable pop3 for the user the it wont use pop3 anyway. am i wright?

it only seems to happen to one account. i allredeay delete the account and recreated and restore the mails agenda and contacts.

still the same issue with this one account? how can we troubleshoot this?

it takes exactly 5 minutes before mail becomes read?

even when i delete this account and recreate it with the same name and dont restore anything i have the same problem.

other accounts dont i dont understand. how can i fully delete an account. no restovers in mailcow

Change the password, so that no client can connect to this mailbox, then check in SoGO if the mails still get marked as read. (I still believe it’s a client, which marks the mails as read.)

    I forgot to reply. Allredeay dit That and it was a progam that i installed that was polling the inbox.

    Issue is revolved.

    heavygale Thanks so much! Problem solved. This was the case with my issue.
    To solve it I created an extra file as described here docs.mailcow.email Icon Customize/Expand dovecot.conf - mailcow: dockerized documentation

    called extra.conf and added
    pop3_no_flag_updates=yes as described in your link Dovecot as a POP3 server — Dovecot documentation

    docker compose restart dovecot-mailcow
    and now the issue is solved

    No one is typing
