Show or force mails in "Sent" after SMTP

Hello.
I use Mailcow so that my applications can send mails via SMTP. This works fine and is well documented.
However, these mails do not appear under “Sent”.
Can I somehow enable or force these mails to show up under “Sent”? With Gmail this had worked.

That’'s usually someting the client does via IMAP. However Gmail seams to automatically place a copy to the sent mail folder, which is not standard behaviour though.
