Hi, trying to setup replication between two mailcow servers. I got the mysql replication going in master master. Now, I’m trying to figure out if i need to replicate the redis database. The idea is to have two separate mailcow servers behind a load balancer and either one can take over. So besides replicating dovecot and mysql, do I really need to replicate redis? Which components use Redis?

Thanks in advance

It is necessary. A lot of things must be considered.

There is no support for replicated setups here. Consider commercial support. 🙂

I have no problem getting support. It’s cheap enough. I am just trying to figure out if I even need to get redis replicated. It seems to be a pain in the ass since it doesn’t natively support multi master replication like mysql does. From what I’m reading from the docs it’s used for rspamd which I’m not using at all and for some of mailcow’s settings. If it’s mainly for rspamd related settings, it wouldn’t affect my situation at all it seems.
