Hi
Is it possible with Mailcow to configure outgoing mails to use a different outgoing IP per domain? I could neither find this listed as a feature and also could not see this as a config option within the demo installation - but I might have missed it…?
Use case would be a shared mailcow server on which multiple customers / partners have their domain and some mailboxes on it. Most of those customers/partners are like 1-5 mailboxes, but some few are 100+ mailboxes / users that send mails.
Now the idea would be that by default each domain uses the same IP for outgoing mails - but if needed / wanted, that we can configure a specific domain to use a different IP address for outgoing mails.
For some of the customers this could be a permanent configuration - for others it could be the base for a quick response in case the default IP gets on a blacklist (to be able to quickly switch to a different IP address). And in general it could also be a load and risk sharing thing, to distribute outgoing mails to being sent from different IPs rather than just from one single IP.
I’m aware that this needs more work than just flipping over to a different IP - but that would be doable generally.
Is Mailcow capable of something like this?
Cheers,
Mario
