Certificates not working with no IPV6

Hey! I had set up mailcow for our small organization in Uruguay. Sadly our hosting provider doesn’t have IPV6 enabled, so our server lacks of IP6. Server is running OK but whenever I try to create a certificate I get:
Cannot match your IP 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000 against hostname.
I have already disabled all IPV6 as pointed in https://mailcow.github.io/mailcow-dockerized-docs/post_installation/firststeps-disable_ipv6/ and looked in many of the questions here… still no luck.
If you guys can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it very much. I would really like to use MailCow, thanks in advance

Did you disable ipv6 also for unbound? It looks like unbound is trying to resolve your domain against ipv6.

Thanks for the quick response @pcom , I have disabled all IPV6 as it’s on the manuals page but still have the same result. Is there any workaround I should use, or maybe try to reinstall all?

Before you start over: did you made the DNS settings at your hoster shortly before setting up mailcow? It may take from a few minutes up to X hours before DNS changes are distributed.

You can check if your DNS settings are working by querying all entries (nslookup your.mailcowhostname.tld and whatever else you set).

DNS settings are working, I can access mailcows administrator interface from IPV4. Host has IPV6 disabled:
nslookup mail.elijoestudiar.uy

What would you recommend? I’m out of ideas (I already tried to fix IPV6 on the server, add a record of IPV6 in DNS, and go over all config many times ☹️ )

If you haven’t set up or configured many things I would recommend to start from scratch.

Be sure to set up all neccessary DNS settings before recreating all docker containers. You’ll also need a reverse DNS (PTR/rDNS) entry for your IP which points to mailcow. Otherwise you won’t have much luck sending mails to other servers. Or you could use another mail relay.

I did all the set up of no IPV6 before starting the server and I can confirm that everithing works fine. Thanks
