Direct link to calendar

Hi,

I’m using mailcow-dockerized with SOGo 5.3.0. Everytime I’d like to open the calendar, I have to go to https://mail.example.com/SOGo which opens the webmailer (https://mail.example.com/SOGo/so/myname@example.com/Mail/view#!/Mail/0/INBOX) after which I can click at the calendar-button top right.
The URL is then https://mail.example.com/SOGo/so/myname@example.com/Calendar which redirects me to https://mail.example.com/SOGo/so/myname@example.com/Calendar/view#!/calendar/week/20220131.

Is there any direct link to the calendar that does NOT include my email address, so I could send it to collegues, write it down in our knowledgebase and link it from somewhere else?

I need a direct link to the calendar, eg.

In the SOGo settings you can set that after logging in you end up in the calendar instead of mail.

All calencar URLs do contain yout email address as that’s your username. But you can share it with your collegues (if they have an account too).

That’s not a real workaround, as I would have the same issue with mail then (vice-versa).
And it would only solve this for my account, but not for everyone else.

The use cases for direct links are 1. a company-wide startpage and 2. a knowlegebase article, eg.:

Our webmailer is located at https://mail.example.com/SOGo/mail

Our calendar is located at https://mail.example.com/SOGo/calendar

No, that doesn’t work. The link must contain the own email or it will fail with the following error:

An error occurred during object publishing
tried to access private object (0×0×55fe3c13e5c0, SoClass=SOGoAppointmentFolders)

I checked that with a few collegues.

It’s posible to share a calender with others, also for public access.

Thanks for your effort to help, but this won’t work:

I don’t want to share my specific calendar, I want to share a link to “the calendar system” that each user can click to reach his/her own calendar. Just like calendar.google.com will open my calendar if I use the URL and will open your calendar if you access the URL. As said, the SOGo-link should be on a company-wide home page inside the users’ browser and in an IT knowledge base.

I thought about your sharing comment as a workaround, like “if this calendar is public, maybe this link would lead everyone into the calendar-area of SOGo”, but that didn’t work:

created a new SOGo user null@example.com
logged in as that user in a separate browser
made his calendar public
copied his link https://mail.example.com/SOGo/so/null@example.com/Calendar/view
tried to use that link from my own browser
got “An error occurred during object publishing tried to access private object”

Maybe this is a feature request and should be posted at GitHub:
I’d like to get generic direct links for mail, calendar and contacts, that do not include the user-id, mail, etc.
eg. https://mailcow.example.com/mail, https://mailcow.example.com/calendar, https://mailcow.example.com/contacts

That would need to be implemented in SOGo => https://www.sogo.nu/bugs/my_view_page.php
