PHP Error for Mailcow Container

Hi all,

Ive started getting the following error.

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Undefined constant “php” in /web/inc/vars.local.inc.php:1 Stack trace: #0 /web/inc/prerequisites.inc.php(16): include_once() #1 /web/index.php(2): require_once(‘/web/inc/prereq…’) #2 {main} thrown in /web/inc/vars.local.inc.php on line 1

This only happens for the mailcow interface container. It would appear that the rest of the containers are fine.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Did you edit the file recently? It’s not part of the default installation and is usually created to override default settings:

There is probably an error in your first line which should contain <?php (and nothing else).

I haven’t made any edits to the file.

For some reason the first line was <?php> with a closing bracket. Removing this bracket does not seem to “fix” the issue however.

EDIT: I may have modified this years ago to support a Roundcube installation.

I’m going to just grab my data folder and my config and start again.

Did you restart Mailcow? Did you check the file for other errors?

Depending on the contents of the file you could try to remove it for test purposes since it contains custom overrides only.
